Hello & welcome to my blog! My name is Laurie and I started this blog in the summer of 2009. It's main purpose at that time was to keep in touch with all of the wonderful people from all across the country who have helped us as we recover from a devastating flood that happened in our community, Cedar Rapids, Iowa in June 2008. Believe it or not we are still working to get through that recovery and this blog has been a great place to share updates on our progress so far. But it has also become a place to share whatever I happen to be thinking about or feeling on any given day. Pictures, stories, recipes, remodeling projects, you just never know what you might find here!
